SECI announces results of 2 GW wind power auction

The Solar Energy Corporation of India Limited (SECI) has announced the winners of the auction to set up 2,000 MW of interstate transmission system (ISTS)-connected wind power projects. Only 1,495 MW capacity has been awarded. Gentari Renewables India Castor One emerged as the lowest bidder, securing 200 MW at a tariff of Rs 3.78 per kWh. 

Ganeko Four Energy (Resolven) and NLC India Renewables secured 200 MW each, Purvah Green Power (CESC) secured 175 MW, Torrent Green Energy won 150 MW, Halvad Renewables (EDF Renewables India) secured 130 MW, Adyant Enersol (Datta Infra) bagged 110 MW, Powerica won 100 MW, Reflex Green Power won 80 MW, and Opera Energy, Ayana Renewable Power and Atiriwal Infrastructure bagged 50 MW each. All these capacities were secured at a tariff of Rs 3.85 per kWh. 

Furthermore, the successful developers will enter into power purchase agreements (PPAs) with SECI under the tariff-based competitive bidding framework. The tender was floated in April 2026. 

In May 2026, SECI signed a 25-year PPA with ACME Renewtech Sixth Private Limited, a subsidiary of ACME Solar Holdings Limited, for 300 MW/1,200 MWh of ISTS-connected assured peak power capacity.
