Greenvolt Group, through Greenvolt Power, has commenced construction of the Siedlce battery energy storage system (BESS) in Poland. The project has an installed capacity of 600 MW/2.4 GWh and is part of Greenvolt’s 4.6 GW probability-weighted BESS pipeline, including around 2.4 GW in Poland. Commercial operations for the project are targeted by the end of 2027.
Furthermore, the project builds on Greenvolt’s earlier BESS projects which include the 200 MW/800 MWh Turośń Kościelna, which began operations in July 2026, and the 200 MW/800 MWh Ełk project, expected to begin operations in the fourth quarter of 2026. Together, the three projects will provide 1 GW of power and 4 GWh of BESS capacity once operational. BYD Energy Storage will supply the battery technology for the project, while P&Q is supporting the project engineering and construction and ONDE is supporting the project’s electrical infrastructure.
In July 2026, Greenvolt Power agreed to sell the 57.47 MWp Kira solar photovoltaic project in southern Hungary to PPC Group for €64.2 million. The project, operational since July 2024, benefits from a 25-year feed-in tariff under Hungary’s KÁT scheme and €35.5 million in project financing. The transaction is expected to close by the end of 2026. PPC Group will also have an option to acquire a co-located 49.1 MW/196.2 MWh BESS, subject to achieving ready-to-build status.
