Agastya Green Fuels inks 250 KTPA green methanol offtake deal with SAR Group

Agastya Green Fuels Private Limited has executed a long-term green methanol offtake agreement with SAR Maritime Agencies. The agreement covers the supply of 250 kilo tonnes per annum (KTPA) of EU RFNBO RED III compliant green methanol. 

According to the specifications of the agreement, the green methanol will be supplied from Agastya Green Fuels hub at Mulapeta Port in Andhra Pradesh. The company is developing a 1 million tonnes per annum export oriented green methanol facility at this location. Furthermore, the project involves a planned investment of $6 billion over the next six years.Through this partnership, Agastya Green Fuels and SAR Group will jointly develop infrastructure for green methanol storage, bunkering, and marine fuel operations across Sri Lanka.
