Rezolv Energy secures €561 million for 1.3 GWp solar project in Romania

Rezolv Energy, through its project subsidiary West Power Investments, has signed up for a €561 million project financing package for the 1.3 GWp Dama Solar project in Arad County, western Romania. It is expected to generate around 1,800 GWh of renewable electricity annually. The project is scheduled to begin commercial operations in 2028.

The project is supported by two contracts for difference (CfDs) awarded in Romania’s second CfD auction, covering 520 MW of the project’s capacity, along with a corporate Power Purchase Agreement (PPA). The financing is being provided by a consortium of 14 lenders, comprising 10 commercial banks and three development finance institutions, with the European Investment Bank (EIB) serving as the anchor investor under an InvestEU guarantee.

Earlier, in May 2026, Rezolv Energy commissioned the 225 MW St. George solar park in Silistra, Bulgaria. The project represents an investment of $300 million. The project incorporates 400,000 solar panels along with a 90 MW/240 MWh battery energy storage system supported by the EU’s Next GenerationEU programme.
