ib vogt divests 272 MWp Irish solar portfolio

ib vogt has completed the sale of a 272 MWp solar portfolio in Ireland for a total enterprise value of approximately €230 million. The portfolio comprises three utility-scale projects: Gaskinstown with a capacity of 94.7 MWp in County Meath, Rathnaskilloge with a capacity of 107.7 MWp in County Waterford, and Clonin North with a capacity of 69.4 MWp in County Offaly. The assets were developed by Highfield Solar, a joint venture in which ib vogt is a partner.

Each project secured a 15-year capacity agreement under Ireland’s Renewable Electricity Support Scheme (RESS) 2. Rathnaskilloge was wholly owned by ib vogt, while Gaskinstown and Clonin North were held under Highfield Solar. Gaskinstown commenced commercial operations in August 2025 and was divested to an unnamed international institutional investor, with financial close completed in December 2025. Rathnaskilloge achieved commercial operations in September 2025 and was also transferred to an unnamed international institutional investor in December 2025. Clonin North is scheduled to reach commercial operation by mid-2026, with transaction completion expected after commissioning.

Collectively, the three projects are expected to generate around 275 GWh of electricity annually and avoid approximately 70,250 tonnes of carbon emissions each year. They have obtained all required regulatory approvals and grid connection arrangements. ib vogt will continue to provide operations and maintenance services for the operational projects and previously delivered full engineering, procurement, and construction services across the portfolio. KPMG acted as exclusive financial adviser to ib vogt on the transactions, while Mason Hayes & Curran LLP provided legal advisory services.
