Solar Energy Corporation of India Limited (SECI) has issued a request for proposals (RfP) for leasing two parcels of agricultural land in the National Capital Territory of Delhi to develop agri-photovoltaic (agri-PV) power plants. The bidding will be conducted through the competitive bidding process. The bid submission deadline is October 7, 2026.
According to the tender guidelines, the objective is to identify and lease two suitable parcels of agricultural land, each measuring approximately 10 acres, for 27 years, extendable by mutual consent. The land will be used to develop agri-PV power plants and associated power evacuation and ancillary infrastructure. Parcel 1 will be located in Issapur village, Najafgarh tehsil, Southwest Delhi, while Parcel 2 will be located in Dhansa village, Najafgarh tehsil, Southwest Delhi.
According to the technical eligibility criteria, the offered land must have a clear and marketable title, with updated ownership details in the relevant revenue records. It should be levelled agricultural land, free from waterlogging and suitable for both solar plant installation and continued cultivation. The site must be accessible through an all-weather motorable road and located near an 11 kV, 33 kV or 66 kV line or a Delhi Transco or discom substation. Moreover, the bidders will be required to pay a tender processing fee of Rs 25,000. An earnest money deposit of Rs 50,000 must be submitted in the form of a bank guarantee along with the bid document submission.
