Shakti Pumps (India) Limited has received a letter of empanelment from Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) for 10,000 off-grid solar photovoltaic water pumping systems (SPWPS) across Maharashtra. The pumps, with capacities of 3 horsepower (HP), 5 HP and 7.5 HP, will be deployed under the Magel Tyala Saur Krushi Pump Yojana.
Furthermore, the work will involve the design, manufacture, supply, transportation, installation, testing and commissioning of off-grid SPWPS. The order is valued at Rs 2.35 billion, and is required to be executed within 60 days from the issuance of the work order.
In January 2026, Shakti Pumps secured an order from Karnataka Renewable Energy Development Limited for the installation of 16,780 SPWPS under Component B of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Urja Suraksha evam Utthan Mahabhiyan. The aggregate order value is approximately Rs 6.54 billion.
