Apraava Energy has acquired Raigad Power Transmission Limited to develop an intrastate transmission (InSTS) project across Pune and Raigad districts in Maharashtra. The project will involve setting up around 400 ckm of transmission lines, including around 340 ckm of 765 kV lines and the remaining 400 kV and 220 kV double-circuit lines. It will also include a 4,500 MVA (3×1,500 MVA) 765/400/220 kV pooling station.
Furthermore, the project is expected to support grid stability and reliability by enabling power supply to potential pumped storage plants (PSPs) and evacuating around 3 GW of power from PSPs in Raigad district.
In August 2026, Apraava Energy acquired the special purpose vehicle, Ananthpuram Transmission Limited, for the development of an interstate transmission system (ISTS) project in Ananthapur, Andhra Pradesh. The project was awarded through the Government of India’s tariff-based competitive bidding process. The project is expected to facilitate the integration and evacuation of around 3 GW of renewable energy from the Ananthapur region.
