In accordance with the Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited’s tender to purchase 750 MW (Phase-XVI) of solar power, GSECL has requested bids for the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) package to establish 220 MW of solar projects anywhere in Gujarat. The tender is anticipated to cost around Rs 8.8 billion. The successful bidder will also be responsible for the project’s operation and maintenance (O&M) for ten years. Bidders must submit an earnest money deposit of Rs 88 million.
Within 30 days of the start of the O&M period, the chosen contractor must also deliver an O&M bank guarantee equal to 5 percent of the EPC contract price to GSECL. Also, bidders must have previously designed, supplied, erected, supervised, and commissioned grid-connected solar power projects totaling 20 percent or more of the total bid capacity. At least one of these plants should have represented 5 per cent or more of total bid capacity. The reference project with the minimum capacity mentioned above for 5 per cent must have been in operation for at least six months prior to the bid opening date. The deadline for bid submissions is August 17, 2022.
Earlier this month, GSECL requested proposals for the installation and commissioning of a 20 MW grid-connected solar power plant at Itiya in Gujarat’s Bhavnagar district nearby Gujarat Energy Transmission Corporation substation. The tender is anticipated to cost around Rs 800 million. Bidders will be required to submit an earnest money deposit of Rs 8 million.
