Sunsure Energy and Kajaria Ceramics sign 20 MW hybrid PPA

Sunsure Energy has signed a long-term power purchase agreement (PPA) with Kajaria Ceramics to supply round-the-clock (RTC) renewable power to its production facilities in Gailpur and Alwar, Rajasthan. Under the agreement, Sunsure Energy will develop 10 MW of solar capacity and 10 MW of wind capacity at its upcoming project in Barmer district, Rajasthan.

The agreement is the second PPA between Sunsure Energy and Kajaria Ceramics, following a 7 MW solar power agreement signed in 2023. The new agreement is expected to help offset around 42,000 metric tonnes of carbon emissions annually. With the latest agreement, the total signed capacity between the two companies has increased to 27 MW.

Earlier, in July 2026, Sunsure Energy secured debt financing of Rs 2.62 billion from FMO, the Dutch entrepreneurial development bank, and Axis Bank. The financing is for Sunsure Energy’s 75 MWp open-access solar project in Ilayangudi, Tamil Nadu.
