JK Cement Limited will procure 7 MW of power from Mehrauni Electro Power’s 40 MW solar project. The solar project is situated in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh. The 7 MW procured power will be utilised for JK Cement’s manufacturing facility in Prayagra. Additionally, the procurement will be undertaken under a group captive arrangement.
JK Cement invested Rs 21 million in Mehrauni Electro Power, a special-purpose vehicle (SPV) of Onward Solar Power. The investment was made to acquire a 9.77 per cent equity stake in the SPV. As part of the transaction, JK Cement purchased 2.1 million equity shares. Each share was acquired at a face value of Rs 10.
Earlier in December 2025, JK Cement Limited purchased an additional 12.21 per cent equity stake in O2 Renewable Energy V Private Limited, a SPV of O2 Power, for approximately Rs 0.05 billion, thereby increasing JK Cement Limited’s overall holding to 28.97 per cent.
