Calcutta Electric Supply Corporation (CESC) has announced the result of its 600 MW interstate transmission system connected (ISTS) wind-solar hybrid power projects. Vismaya Renewables India Project won a capacity of 100 MW at a tariff of Rs 3.74 per kWh. Furthermore, Hexa Climate Solutions and Sprng Energy also secured 100 MW. The capacity was secured at a tariff of Rs 3.75 per kWh each. Additionally, Purvah Green Power secured 300 MW at a tariff of Rs 3.75 per kWh. The project will be developed across India on a build-own-operate (BOO) model.
According to the tender guidelines, the scope of work involves establishing wind-solar hybrid projects, along with developing the transmission network up to the interconnection point. It also includes land identification, project installation and ownership, and securing the necessary approvals. The solar and wind components of the hybrid project may be situated either at the same site or at separate locations.
Furthermore, the projects must be designed for interconnection with the ISTS transmission network at a voltage level of at least 220 kV. The wind and solar components of the projects must be in the ratio of at least 2:1. Moreover, CESC will ink a 25-year power purchase agreement with the successful bidders. The tender was floated earlier in November 2025.
