Océalia and TSE join forces for agri-PV projects in France

Océalia Cooperative Group and TSE have entered into a partnership to jointly develop agriphotovoltaic (agri-PV) projects across the cooperative’s operating territory in France. As per the agreement, the companies plan to deploy a total installed capacity of 500 MWp of agri-PV projects over a ten-year period. The projects will be co-developed through a dedicated company that will be responsible for the development and operation of agri-PV projects using TSE’s technology.

The planned 500 MWp portfolio is expected to generate electricity equivalent to the annual consumption of nearly 120,000 households. Moreover, the partnership structure allows members of the Océalia cooperative to benefit from the economic returns generated by the co-development entity. Moreover, local authorities within the territory are expected to gain from the added value created through the development of new energy assets alongside ongoing agricultural activity.

Océalia and TSE will jointly participate in all stages of project development, from initial planning through to operation. Furthermore, the collaboration is aligned with Océalia’s CAP 2030 strategy, which focuses on value creation for its members. As per the company statement, the agri-PV projects are intended to enable farmers to generate additional income from renewable electricity production while preserving agricultural use of the land.
