Bondada Engineering incorporates SPV for 225 MW/450 MWh BESS project in Andhra Pradesh

Bondada Engineering Limited (BEL) has incorporated Bondada Hindupur BESS Project Private Limited (BHBPL) as a wholly-owned subsidiary and special purpose vehicle (SPV) for the development of a 225 MW/450 MWh battery energy storage system (BESS) project awarded by AP Transco. The project will be developed under the build-own-operate model to provide grid-scale energy storage capacity in Andhra Pradesh.

Furthermore, BHBPL will undertake project financing, procurement, construction, commissioning, ownership, operations and maintenance of the BESS facility. Bondada Engineering has subscribed to 100,000 equity shares of BHBPL at a face value of Rs 10 each, representing 100 per cent of its paid-up equity share capital. The project is expected to support renewable energy integration, grid balancing, peak-load management and power-system flexibility in the state.

In August 2026, BEL’s subsidiary, Bondada Renewable Energy Private Limited, received orders to develop 200 MW/400 MWh of BESS projects in Tamil Nadu. The projects are scheduled to be completed in FY 2026-27.
