NLC India Renewables Limited (NIRL), a wholly-owned subsidiary of NLC India Limited (NLCIL), has incorporated a joint venture (JV) company with the Odisha Renewable Energy Development Agency (OREDA). The JV is called NIRL OREDA Renewables Limited. It will focus on setting up green energy power plants, with NIRL and OREDA holding 51 per cent and 49 per cent equity participation, respectively.
Earlier, in June 2026, NLCIL signed an MoU with Indian Oil Corporation Limited for the formation of a JV to establish renewable energy projects in Tamil Nadu.
Also in June 2026, NIRL incorporated a JV company with National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) under the name NIRL NCRTC Renewables Limited. The JV has been formed to develop grid-connected solar projects.
