Swaraj Tractors and Mahindra Susten have commissioned a 42 MWp group captive solar project in Bathinda, Punjab. Spread across about 141 acres in Teona Pujarian village, Talwandi Sabo, the project is expected to meet around 50 per cent of the electricity requirements of Swaraj Tractors’ manufacturing facilities in Mohali. It uses N-Type TOPCon bifacial solar modules installed on fixed-tilt structures.
Furthermore, the project has sourced more than 97 per cent of its components from within India. It is expected to generate around 61.54 million units of electricity annually and offset more than 42,000 tonnes of carbon emissions every year. The remaining capacity of the project is proposed to be used to meet the renewable electricity needs of other Mahindra Group entities in Punjab.
Earlier, in August 2026, Mahindra Susten achieved financial closure for its 150.80 MW hybrid renewable energy project in Maharashtra. The project is being developed under a group captive offtake arrangement.
