GSECL floats a consultancy bid for 25 solar projects

Gujarat State Electricity Corporation (GSECL) has floated an e-tender for consulting services to review the designs and drawings of 25 solar PV projects. The plants, which range in size from 10 MW to 100 MW, are located near the Gujarat Energy Transmission Corporation (GETCO) wasteland across Gujarat. The estimated cost of the project is Rs 2.8 million. According to the documents, the project must be finished within 15 months of receiving the letter of commencement, or until the project is completed. The bid submission deadline is October 18, 2021.

The consultation project will be divided into two stages: first, design verification for project management services, and second, drawing verification. As per the tender guidelines, to be eligible, the bidder must pay a security deposit of 5 per cent of the tender value. In addition, the bidder must have completed similar work or work under progress in the last seven years until the last day of the previous month. These works must be carried out for central and state government or semi-government or GSECL, GETCO, Dakshin Gujarat Vij Company Limited (DGVCL), Madhya Gujarat Vij Company Limited (MGVCL), Uttar Gujarat Vij Company Limited (UGVCL), or Paschim Gujarat Vij Company Limited (PGVCL).

In September 2021, GSECL had floated a tender for the design, engineering, erection, construction, installation and commissioning of a 35 MW of grid-connected solar project with 57 MWh of battery energy storage system at its Kutch Lignite Thermal Power Station Pandhro site in Gujarat. The project’s estimated cost was Rs 2.56 billion. Also, the successful bidder will also be responsible for the project’s operations and maintenance for 12 years. The bid submission deadline is September 29, 2021.
