KPI Green Energy Limited has received a letter of intent (LoI) from an unnamed domestic private entity for the development of a wind-solar hybrid power project in Gujarat under a group captive arrangement. The project will comprise 33.6 MW of wind capacity and 33.6 MWac/43 MWdc of solar capacity.
Furthermore, a special purpose vehicle will be established for the development, ownership and operation of the project. The project is scheduled to be developed, constructed and commissioned within 14 months from Stage-2 connectivity, and no later than December 31, 2027. The energy supply agreement will have a tenure of 25 years from the commencement date.
In August 2026, KPI Green Energy Limited commissioned 130 MWac/195 MWdc of solar capacity under its 370 MWac/677 MWdc wind-solar hybrid power project at Bharuch, Gujarat. The project is being developed under the independent power producer model through a long-term power purchase agreement with Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited.
