IMFA inks new deal with JSW Renew Energy to procure 70 MW hybrid power

Indian Metals and Ferro Alloys Limited (IMFA) has cancelled its previous renewable power agreements with JSW Green Energy One Limited and JSW Green Energy Seven Limited. The company has signed new deals with JSW Renew Energy Twelve Limited to procure  70 MW hybrid renewable power. The earlier agreements were cancelled because of a location change in sourcing. They have been replaced by a new power purchase agreement (PPA) and share subscription and shareholders agreement.

Furthermore, according to the new agreements, IMFA will secure 70 MW of contracted demand. The contracted demand will be met from 55 MWac of solar and 108 MW of wind capacity. It will also subscribe to a 26 percent equity stake in the project company. The project is expected to commence between June and October 2026. Additionally, the agreements are valid for 25 years from the date of the project’s commercial operation. The revised investment is now Rs 0.85 billion compared to 0.83 billion earlier.

Earlier in May 2025, IMFA signed a 25-year PPA with AMPIN Energy Utility One Private Limited to procure 40 MW of contracted power demand through a hybrid renewable energy project.
