Multi Infrastructure and Engineering Private Limited (MIEPL) has been awarded a contract by Central Electronics Limited (CEL) to establish a 200 MW solar module manufacturing facility in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh. The tender for this project was floated by CEL in April 2025.
The project is to be implemented on a revenue-sharing model as part of the Make in India initiative. Furthermore, as per a company statement, the proposed facility is intended to enhance domestic production of solar modules, aiming to reduce reliance on imports while supporting the country’s clean energy transition.
In April 2025, MIEPL won Solar Energy Corporation of India’s auction to set up a 4.125 MW solar power project at the Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur in West Bengal.
MIEPL is an engineering, procurement, and construction company active in sectors including railway electrification, gas and water pipelines, and electrical substations. It also undertakes civil work across India and has executed projects in 11 different states.
