BiofuelCircle expands biomass aggregation infrastructure in Nagpur

BiofuelCircle has established eight new warehouses near Mauda and Bhandara in Nagpur, Maharashtra, to scale biomass aggregation. These facilities, equipped with advanced machinery such as balers and rakers, aim to aggregate 40,000 metric tonnes of paddy straw this season.

The Mujbi Biomass Bank was launched during an event attended by over 100 farmers, showcasing methods for processing agricultural waste. GPS and telematics-based systems have been implemented to streamline collection and transportation, supporting rural biomass businesses.

Founded in June 2020, BiofuelCircle aims to build a reliable and cost-effective bioenergy supply chain. It aims to create a circular economy in the biofuel industry by connecting various stakeholders in the supply chain, including farmers, biofuel producers and end-users.  Currently operating 31 warehouses, the company plans to double this number across key agricultural states, including Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, and Maharashtra.
