rPlus Energies secures financing for Blacks Creek Energy Center in Idaho

rPlus Energies has secured financing commitments exceeding $650 million for the Blacks Creek Energy Center, a 400 MWac, or 520 MWdc solar project with 200 MW of storage located in Ada County, Idaho. The financing includes debt facilities and tax equity commitments to support the construction of the project. The debt financing facility is being led by Santander Corporate & Investment Banking and KeyBanc Capital Markets, Inc.

The project financing is expected to transition to a long-term loan facility upon achieving commercial operations. Furthermore, tax equity financing has been committed by Santander. The project will supply solar power to Idaho Power’s grid. Additionally, it is expected to support the energy requirements associated with Meta’s data centre operations in Kuna, Idaho.

In September 2025, rPlus Energies closed a tax equity financing commitment of about $100 million with Truist Bank for Pleasant Valley Solar 2, a 125 MWac solar project in Ada County, Idaho, representing an investment exceeding $175 million. The project will supply power to Idaho Power’s grid and support Meta’s energy requirements for its data centre in Kuna.
