ACCIONA has been selected as the development partner for the Gippsland offshore wind transmission project in Victoria, Australia. The 2 GW project will support the connection of offshore wind generation in Gippsland to Victoria’s electricity grid. Furthermore, ACCIONA will contribute its expertise in financing, design, construction, operation and maintenance as the project progresses towards delivery.
Earlier, in July 2026, ACCIONA Energía completed the sale of its operational wind asset portfolio in Spain to Galp New Energies. The portfolio has a total installed capacity of 361 MW. The transaction covers 15 wind farms situated across the Spanish provinces of Navarra, Zaragoza, Ciudad Real, Palencia, Guadalajara, and Seville.
In April 2026, ACCIONA Energía signed agreements to supply 800 GWh of renewable energy to energy-intensive industries in Italy, including Acciaierie Venete. The contracts fall under Italy’s Energy Release 2.0 mechanism, managed by Gestore dei Servizi Energetici, linking industrial demand with new renewable capacity.
