Telangana Renewable Energy Development Corporation Limited (TGREDCO), on behalf of the state discoms, has invited bids for the selection of renewable energy power developers to supply 2,000 MW of firm and dispatchable renewable energy round-the-clock (FDRE-RTC) power from projects across India. The projects will be developed under the build-own-operate model through tariff-based competitive bidding. The power purchase agreements (PPA) with the selected developers will have a tenure of 25 years.
According to the tender guidelines, the selected developers will be responsible for setting up renewable energy projects integrated with energy storage systems, including land identification, installation, ownership, grid connectivity, and the transmission network up to the delivery point. Projects can be located anywhere in India and must be configured to meet the round-the-clock power supply requirements. The developer must maintain a minimum demand fulfilment ratio of 90 per cent during peak hours, 50-60 per cent during solar hours, and 70 per cent during remaining non-solar hours, with compliance assessed for each 15-minute time block. The scheduled commencement of power supply from the full project capacity is 24 months from the effective date of the PPAs. The bidders can quote a minimum contracted capacity of 50 MW and a maximum of 1,000 MW, subject to the overall allocation limits.
Furthermore, bidders are required to pay a bid processing fee of Rs 20,000 per MW of quoted contracted capacity, including GST. The earnest money deposit will be calculated based on the installed capacities of the project components at the rate of Rs 968,000 per MW of solar capacity, Rs 1,368,000 per MW of wind and other renewable energy capacity, and Rs. 240,000 per MWh of energy storage system (ESS) capacity. The online bid submission deadline is November 4, 2026.
