Energy Vault has acquired over 2.3 GW portfolio of 15 battery energy storage system (BESS) development projects from Goshe Energy Storage in US. The portfolio is anchored by two ready-to-build projects of 150 MW and 200 MW, totalling 350 MW. The projects are expected to commence operations in the first quarter of 2028.
Furthermore, the projects are expected to generate approximately $30 million in combined annual run-rate EBITDA. The portfolio is supported by approximately $40 million credit facility commitment from S2G Investments for its development and construction. The acquisition increases Energy Vault’s active global portfolio to over 1.75 GW of operational and under-construction energy and AI compute infrastructure.
In April 2026, Energy Vault Holdings acquired an 850 MW BESS development portfolio from a domestic developer in Japan. The portfolio includes 350 MW of advanced-stage projects expected to begin construction in the second half of 2027 and operations in the second half of 2028, along with 500 MW of early-stage projects.
