Sineng Electric energises 150 MW/300 MWh energy storage facility in China

Sineng Electric has successfully launched a 150 MW/300 MWh standalone energy storage power station in Guangxi, China. The facility has been fully integrated into the grid and operational for over six months. The power plant features Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) containers, central Power Conversion Systems (PCS), and a 220 kV booster station. Sineng’s 4 MW central PCS MV turnkey solution has played a crucial role in the project’s success.

Furthermore, the system’s phase change heat dissipation technology ensures effective thermal management, contributing to its long lifespan and outstanding performance. Additionally, the PCS is equipped with an IP65 protection rating, making it reliable even in harsh environmental conditions. Its modular design at the component level not only facilitates easier maintenance but also enhances system availability.

This 150 MW/300 MWh energy storage facility now plays a vital role in peak shaving, helping to balance electricity supply and demand. By supporting the integration of renewable energy, it strengthens the resilience of the grid infrastructure. Sineng Electric is proud to lead in sustainable energy solutions and is dedicated to advancing a decarbonised future.
