Suzlon Energy Limited has secured a 105 MW wind power order from Sunsure Energy for the deployment of its 5 MW S175 wind turbine in Bijapur, Karnataka. The scope of work involves the supply, erection, commissioning, and maintenance of 21 wind turbine generators (WTGs).
The S175 wind turbine is equipped with a 175-metre rotor and a 160-metre hybrid lattice tower and is designed to harness stronger and more stable wind regimes, enabling higher energy yields and improved project economics. It also unlocks new wind frontiers by making previously unviable sites commercially viable.
In June 2026, Suzlon Energy secured a 400 MW EPC order from Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited for a wind power project in Anantapur, Andhra Pradesh. The project involves the installation of 127 S144 WTGs, each with a capacity of 3.15 MW. The scope of work includes land acquisition, turbine supply, balance of plant works, pooling substation, extra high voltage line, commissioning, and operations and maintenance services.
In May 2026, Suzlon Energy secured a 195 MW wind power order from Sunsure Energy for a project in the Bijapur district of Karnataka. The order involves the installation of 65 S144 WTGs, each with a capacity of 3 MW. The scope of work includes the supply, erection and commissioning of the turbines.
