Iron Mountain has partnered with CleanMax Enviro Energy Solutions Limited (CleanMax) to procure hybrid renewable energy for its data centres in Mumbai, Pune and Bangalore. The group captive project, integrating both solar and wind power, is expected to supply nearly 32 million kWh of clean energy annually to the company’s facilities. With this, the share of renewable energy across these data centres is expected to increase to about 75 per cent.
In addition, the partnership will support Iron Mountain’s Green Power Pass framework, which enables customers to directly account for the renewable energy procured for their operations. The programme is designed to provide greater transparency and traceability in renewable energy sourcing while helping customers advance their decarbonisation and ESG objectives. This will support Iron Mountain’s transition towards round-the-clock carbon-free energy (CFE) operations by 2040.
In April 2026, Clean Max Enviro Energy Solutions Limited signed an agreement to supply round-the-clock power to Sangam India Limited. Under the agreement, CleanMax will supply 30 MWp solar and 20 MW wind power, and 2 MWh battery storage capacity. Power will be supplied to five facilities of Sangam India Limited under an intra-state group captive structure. The supply will be sourced from CleanMax’s Bhikamkor hybrid project.
