ERG and Skellefteå ink PPA to supply renewable energy in Sweden

ERG, through its subsidiary Furukraft AB, has finalised a 10-year power purchase agreement (PPA) with Skellefteå Kraft AB for the supply of renewable electricity in Sweden. The arrangement will begin on January 1, 2026, and covers the pay-as-produced delivery of nearly 150 GWh of power annually, amounting to a total contracted volume of about 1.5 TWh over the full term.

Furthermore, the renewable electricity to be supplied will be sourced from the Furuby wind facility in southern Sweden. The Furuby wind farm has an installed capacity of 62 MW. and an annual production of 200 GWh annually. This corresponds to offsetting approximately 140,000 tonnes of carbon emissions each year.

In November 2025, ERG commenced operations of its first battery energy storage system project in Vicari, Palermo, with 12.5 MW capacity and 50 MWh of storage. The facility, built by NHOA Energy, uses lithium iron phosphate batteries and offers a four-hour charge–discharge cycle.
