At the 23rd Annual Conference on Hydro Power in India, Ghanshyam Prasad, Chairperson, Central Electricity Authority (CEA), delivered the keynote address, outlining CEA’s perspective on the growth and strategic importance of the hydropower sector in India’s evolving energy landscape.
He highlighted the strong pipeline of upcoming hydropower and pumped storage projects, and emphasised the critical role of hydropower in enhancing grid flexibility, supporting renewable energy integration, and contributing to India’s clean energy and long-term energy security goals.
