Qair inks deal for wind projects in Moldova and Romania

Qair has signed a power purchase agreement for a 27.5 MW wind project in Moldova, which was awarded under the country’s first competitive auction. Additionally, the company has also secured the second 50 MW phase for its 100 MW Cobadin wind farm in Romania through the Contracts for Difference (CfD) auction. The first 50 MW phase of the 100 MW wind project was secured through the previous CfD auction in December 2024.

Earlier this month, Qair secured a $5.7 million senior debt facility from the Facility for Energy Inclusion to develop, construct, operate, and maintain the 5.8 MWp Seysun Lagoon floating solar plant at Providence Lagoon on Mahé Island, Seychelles.

Qair is an independent renewable energy company that develops, finances, builds, and operates solar, wind, waste-to-energy, storage and green hydrogen projects. The company currently has 1.7 GW of renewable energy capacity in operation or construction, and has a development pipeline of 34 GW in 20 countries across Europe, Latin America and Africa.
