Sunsure Energy and Sandoz India collaborate for 20 MWp solar plant

Sunsure Energy and Sandoz India have collaborated to deliver more than 31 million units of clean energy per year for the next 25 years. Sunsure will establish a captive clean energy facility, in which Sandoz India will be the only user of power. In order to meet this green power goal, Sandoz India’s Maharashtra facilities will receive power through open access. After 25 years, Sandoz India will be able to offset more than 26 million kg of emissions yearly.

Supported by a $400 million equity investment from Partners Group AG, Sunsure aims to develop over 3 GW of renewable energy assets by 2027. Established in 2015, Sunsure has successfully implemented solar power plants for energy-intensive industrial clients spanning 16 states in India.

In August 2023, a power purchase agreement was signed between Sunsure Energy and Dabur India Limited for open access solar power. In January 2023, Sunsure Energy notified successful completion of its 15 MWp open access solar power plant in Uttar Pradesh’s Mahoba district.
