Bihar commissions first phase of Kajra solar project 

The first phase of the Kajra solar project, consisting of a 185 MW solar plant along with a 254 MWh battery energy storage system (BESS), has been commissioned in Bihar. The construction of the first phase represents an investment of Rs 18.1 billion.  

Furthermore, the associated transmission infrastructure for the project has been completed. This includes energisation of the transmission line and transformer facility to efficiently evacuate power from the plant.

Additionally, the second phase of the project consists of a 116 MW solar power plant along with a 241 MWh BESS. The second phase is currently under construction at an estimated cost of Rs 10.55 billion.
