TNGECL issues tender for solar with storage project  in Tamil Nadu

Tamil Nadu Green Energy Corporation Limited (TNGECL) has floated a tender for selecting developers to develop a 15 MW solar project, along with a 15 MW/45 MWh battery energy storage system (BESS) in Tamil Nadu. The project will be implemented under a build-own-operate basis. 

According to the tender guidelines, the scope of work encompasses the design, engineering, procurement, and commissioning of the project. Furthermore, the selected bidders must secure all required permits, licences, insurance, and a grid connectivity no-objection certificate. They are also responsible for grid synchronisation and installing a BESS capable of a single-cycle 3-hour discharge.

Additionally, the bidders are required to furnish a bid security deposit of Rs 10 million. They must also submit a performance bank guarantee of Rs 50 million. Moreover, TNGECL will provide land to the selected bidders on a lease at a rate of Rs 1 per project site per year. The bid submission deadline is December 29, 2025.
