Prime Minister (PM) Narendra Modi has laid the foundation stone for SJVN Limited’s 200 MW solar power project (Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited (GUVNL) Phase–XVII) at Khavda solar park in the Kachchh district of Gujarat. The project forms a part of the Khavda solar park being developed by Gujarat State Electricity Corporation Limited.
Furthermore, the project will supply green energy to GUVNL for 25 years at a tariff of Rs 2.88 per unit. The project represents an investment of approximately Rs 8.66 billion.
Earlier in September 2025, SJVN Limited issued a tender to procure power from 600 MW interstate transmission system-connected wind projects.
Furthermore, in August 2025, SJVN Green Energy Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of SJVN, issued an engineering procurement and construction tender for 500 MW solar projects.
