Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) has issued a request for proposals for the selection of engineering, procurement, and construction contractor for a 7 MW solar power project. To be located in Maharashtra, the energy produced from the project will be used for captive consumption through open access across 15-20 HPCL marketing locations.
According to the tender guidelines, the bidders are required to furnish Rs 140,000 as an earnest money deposit. The bidder is required to identify and provide appropriate land for lease directly to HPCL or through sub-lease. Additionally, the bidders are required to look after operations and maintenance for a period of ten years. The developer should submit 10 per cent of the contract price as a security deposit cum performance bank guarantee. The bid submission deadline is January 1, 2024.
Furthermore, HPCL has mandated the use of indigenously manufactured mono-crystalline solar modules of at least 540 W, listed in the Approved List of Models and Manufacturers. The modules should carry a warranty for output peak watt capacity, ensuring a minimum of 90 per cent at the conclusion of 10 years and 80 per cent at the conclusion of 25 years.
Recently, in December 2023, HPCL issued tender for commissioning a 100 MW solar project. The project will be located at Galiveedu village in Annamayya district of Andhra Pradesh.
In November 2023, HPCL issued tender for a 78 MW renewable energy project to be located anywhere in India.
