L&T Energy GreenTech Limited (LTEG), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Larsen & Toubro (L&T), has inked a joint development agreement with Japan’s ITOCHU Corporation (ITOCHU) for the development and commercialisation of a 300 kilo tonnes per annum (KTPA) green ammonia project. The project will be located at Kandla in the state of Gujarat. Moreover, ITOCHU intends to offtake the product for bunkering purposes in Singapore.
Earlier in May 2025, LTEG secured the Indian Oil Corporation Limited’s tender to establish a green hydrogen production facility with a capacity of 10 KTPA at the Panipat refinery petrochemical complex in Haryana.
