EDF Renewables North America begins operations at Huck Finn solar project

EDF Renewables North America has begun commercial operations at the Huck Finn solar project in December 2024. The project is developed by EDF Renewables for Ameren Missouri which is a subsidiary of Ameren Corporation. The project has a 200 MWac / 270 MWdc capacity and is now delivering electricity.

Furthermore, the project is expected to generate more than $14 million in revenue for the local communities in Audrain and Ralls Counties while being operational. At full capacity, it is anticipated to meet the energy needs of over 37,000 homes. Additionally, the project will support the local power grid and reduce reliance on non-renewable energy sources.

Earlier in August 2024, EDF Renewables North America and Power Sustainable Energy Infrastructure (PSEI) announced the initial phase of their strategic investment. PSEI acquired a 50 per cent share in the Desert Quartzite solar plus storage Project. This deal was made in collaboration with Potentia Renewables.
