Sunkind secures 570 MW solar project from MAHAGENCO

Sunkind has secured a 570 MW solar energy project from the Maharashtra government, awarded by Maharashtra State Power Generation Company Limited (Mahagenco) under the Mukhyamantri Saur Krushi Vahini Yojana (MSKVY 2.0 scheme). The project includes a 10.4 MWp ground-mounted solar PV system for grid-connected distributed agriculture feeder solarisation, set to be implemented in Satmane, Nashik. This project aims to improve agricultural power distribution in the region, enhancing agricultural productivity through reliable power supply. Reportedly, the company did not disclose financial details for the project.

In May 2024, Sunkind Energy secured contracts for five solar rooftop projects totaling 10 MW, installed across Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, and Chhattisgarh for clients including Cedaar Textiles, ABREL Solar Power, Jindal Stainless, Jindal Steel and Power, and SBF Rapid.
