JSW Renew Energy Seventeen Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of JSW Energy Limited, has signed its first power purchase agreement (PPA) for a 192 MW wind-solar hybrid project with Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited (GUVNL). The PPA is signed for a period of 25 years at a tariff of Rs 3.27 per kWh. The project is expected to be completed within 24 months and will be connected to the state transmission utility (STU) in Gujarat. JSW Energy currently has a project pipeline of 8.3 GW, with PPAs already signed for 3.2 GW.
In October 2024, JSW Neo secured a total of 600 MW (400 MW under the greenshoe option) as a winner of Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company’s 1,650 MW wind-solar auction. JSW Neo Energy (JSW Energy), will supply wind-solar hybrid power on a long-term basis from grid-connected intrastate projects.
In the same month, JSW Renew Energy Thirteen Limited, a step-down subsidiary of JSW Energy Limited has signed a 700 MW power purchase agreement (PPA) with NTPC Limited for solar energy.
