NTPC has issued a tender for 1.2 GW of power supply from inter-state transmission system (ISTS) connected wind-solar hybrid projects in India. There is a greenshoe option in the project for an additional capacity of 600 MW. The project is to be executed on a build, own, operate basis. The last date for submission of bids is October 8, 2024. A reverse auction will be held for the selection of the final supplier. According to the tender guidelines, all bidders must submit Rs 22,500 as cost of the RfS documents and an earnest money deposit of Rs 1.16 million per MW.
In August 2024, NTPC Green Energy had issued a tender for sale of 100,000 carbon credits from Verified Carbon Standard (VCS)-registered wind and solar projects with cumulative capacity of 610 MW. Further, in July 2024, NTPC had declared Juniper Green Energy, JSW Neo Energy, TEQ Green Power, Adyant Enersol, and Avaada Energy as the winners of the auction for 1,000 MW of inter-state transmission system-connected wind-solar hybrid power projects under Tranche VI.
