SJVN issues FDRE with storage tender for 600 MW

SJVN Limited has issued requests for proposals for appointment of developers to deliver inter-state transmission system (ISTS) connected 600 MW firm and dispatchable renewable energy (FDRE) with storage. The tender also includes an additional greenshoe option of 600 MW.

The bidders can propose a minimum and maximum total project capacity of 50 MW and 600 MW, respectively. The contracted capacity is required to be quoted in increments of 10 MW. For projects in north-eastern and special category states, the bidder can bid a minimum capacity of 30 MW. The bid submission deadline is May 28, 2024.

Furthermore, SJVN has mandated the use of indigenously manufactured solar modules listed in the Approved List of Models and Manufacturers. Additionally, under the tender, only wind-turbine models issued by Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, listed in Revised list of Models and Manufacturers will be allowed.

Recently, in March 2024, SJVN Limited issued a tender inviting bidders to develop 600 MW ISTS connected wind projects anywhere in India. In the same month, SJVN Green Energy Limited inaugurated its 50 MW solar project. Located in the Sitalmari village in Barsola block under Dhekiajuli revenue sector in Sonitpur district of Assam, the estimated cost of the project is Rs 2.91 billion.
