REC has launched the REC Alpha Pure-2 Series, which consists of residential solar modules built on its Alpha heterojunction cell technology. This series is offered in four variants, providing power ratings between 400 W and 430 W, along with efficiencies ranging from 20.6 per cent to 22.2 per cent. These modules are constructed with 132 heterojunction, half-cut monocrystalline solar cells, and are designed to operate at a maximum system voltage of 1,000 V. They exhibit open-circuit voltages ranging from 48.5 V to 49.3 V and short-circuit currents between 10.60 A and 10.81 A. All versions share the same dimensions of 2,237 mm x 1,246 mm x 30 mm and weigh 21.7 kg. Capable of functioning within a temperature range of -40 °C to 85 °C, these panels have an operating temperature coefficient of -0.24 per cent per degree Celsius. They feature a 4 mm solar glass with anti-reflective treatment, an IP68-rated junction box and an anodised aluminium frame. REC offers a 20-year linear power output guarantee and a 25-year product guarantee for these modules. Furthermore, the series qualifies for the premium REC ProTrust warranty package, which provides coverage for product, performance and labour for up to 25 years, reportedly ensuring a guaranteed power output of at least 92 per cent in the 25th year.
