SBI floats consultancy tender for 2 MW solar project in Jaipur

The State Bank of India is seeking bids from public sector undertakings (PSUs) to provide consultancy services for a 2 MW grid-connected solar project located in Jaipur’s Mahindra World City. The project will be executed on SBI’s vacant land in the city. The scope of work will include preparing a feasibility report, designing of the solar project, finalising technical requirements, preparing the final estimate, and initiating the tendering process.

The selected consultant is required to assist the bank in claiming subsidies, discounts, and refunds from the applicable authorities for the solar project. The generated electricity will be directly delivered to the grid and the green energy credit will be claimed against the bank’s various locations. The bids submission deadline is December 5, 2022.

Recently in November 2022, SBI granted an additional €150 million low-interest loan from Germany’s KfW Development Bank to fund solar projects in India. The loan agreement was signed by the two banks as part of the Indo-German solar energy partnership.
