Larsen & Toubro (L&T) power transmission & distribution (PT&D) business of has won multiple orders in India and abroad in the clean energy space.
The business has bagged orders to establish two floating solar plants in India. The orders comprise a cumulative floating solar capacity of more than 150 MW AC, in addition to a ground-mounted solar photovolatics of 120 MW AC capacity. The company has also received orders to establish 765 kV transmission lines and a gas insulated substation to integrate solar energy zones in Rajasthan and Karnataka.
In October 2023, the Digital Energy Solutions arm of L&T Power Transmission & Distribution business significantly expanded its presence across India, Middle East, and North America.
In May 2023, L&T announced the formation of L&T Green Energy Council, a think-tank comprising of eminent thought leaders, in a significant step towards building a global green energy business.
