North Western Railway’s Jaipur Division has issued two tenders for installation of 2.68 MW grid-connected rooftop solar projects. One of the tenders is for installation of 1.36 MW solar systems for railway stations. It includes deployment on station building and platform shelters. The subsequent bid for a 1.32 MW project is targeted at non-railway station buildings within the Jaipur division. The bid submission deadline for both the projects is January 8, 2024.
The 1.36 MW tender has Rs 77.1 million as the value and Rs 535,700 as an earnest money deposit. While, the 1.32 MW tender has Rs 72.8 million as the value and Rs 514,200 as an earnest money deposit.
Furthermore, prospective bidders are required to hold a valid government-issued electrical contractor license, which must be included with the tender document. However, this licensing prerequisite is waived for the original equipment manufacturer or its authorised dealer. The bidders are required to commission the project within six months.
In July 2023, North Central Railways requested bids for state-by-state empanelment of agencies to develop grid-connected rooftop solar power projects with a capacity of 5.525 MW at its various divisions and workshops.
