MAHAPREIT invites bids for 100 MW distributed solar projects

The Mahatma Phule Renewable Energy and Infrastructure Technology Limited (MAHAPREIT) has issued request for proposals (RfP) to install and commission 100 MW grid-connected distributed solar projects. The projects will be set up at various locations in Maharashtra. Each project’s capacity should will be between 2 MW and 10 MW.

According to the tender guidelines, the bidder is required to submit an earnest money deposit of Rs 450,000 per MW. Within 10 days of receiving the work order, the developer is required to furnish a performance bank guarantee equaling 5 per cent of the engineering, procurement, and construction amount. The developer must also look after operations and maintenance for a period of five years. The project must be commissioned with 12 months of the issuance of award letter.

Furthermore, the bidders must have experience in designing, supply, construction, erection, and commissioning grid-connected solar projects of 100 MW or more cumulative installed capacity in order to qualify. Of this, minimum one project should be of 30 MW or more capacity. MAHAPREIT has mandated that the solar modules used for the project come from the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy’s Approved List of Models and Manufacturers.

Recently, in August 2023, MAHAPREIT issued RfP to empanel agencies to develop 310 electric vehicle charging stations across Maharashtra.
