PFC Consulting has floated a tender to develop an interstate transmission system (ISTS) for evacuating renewable power in Gujarat. The system will facilitate the evacuation of 14 GW of renewable power from Lakadia (Phase-II: 7.5 GW), Jam Khambhaliya (Phase-II: 5.5 GW), and Jamnagar (Phase-I, Part C: 1 GW).
According to the tender guidelines, the scope of work includes the development, operation, and maintenance of the project on a build, own, operate, and transfer basis. It also involves carrying out all project-related activities from the initial survey stage. These include preparing the detailed project report, arranging finance, and managing the project. The work further covers design, engineering, construction, and commissioning of the transmission system. Under the scope, the successful bidder will also establish 765/400 kV, 2×1500 MVA, and 400/220 kV, 3×500 MVA, Alephata substation; and the Alephata–Lonikand-I 400 kV D/C line.
Furthermore, the bidders are required to furnish a security deposit of Rs 220 million. The successful bidder is also required to submit a performance contract guarantee of Rs 550 million within 10 days of the issuance of the letter of intent. Additionally, the transmission system is required to be completed within 36 months of the contract award. The bid submission deadline is May 15, 2026.
