Waaree acquires 55 per cent stake in APSPL for Rs 12.25 billion

Waaree Renewable Technologies Limited (WRTL), a subsidiary of Waaree Energies Limited, has completed the acquisition of a 55 per cent stake in Associated Power Structures Private Limited (APSPL). The acquisition was valued at Rs 12.25 billion and was executed through a mix of primary and secondary transactions. Following the completion of the deal, APSPL has become a subsidiary of WRTL.

Furthermore, APSPL has nearly 30 years of experience in the design, fabrication, engineering, procurement, and construction contracting of galvanised transmission and telecom towers. The company has also executed transmission and windmill erection projects across India. Through this acquisition, WRTL aims to expand its presence in the power infrastructure segment and strengthen its capabilities in transmission and power evacuation infrastructure.

Earlier, in May 2026, Waaree Clean Energy Solutions Private Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Waaree Energies Limited, secured an order to develop a multi-technology green hydrogen project at TMEIC Industrial Systems India Private Limited’s facility in Tumkur, Karnataka.
