The Jharkhand Renewable Energy Development Agency (JREDA) has invited expressions of interest (EoI) for the selection of developers for the development of small, mini and micro hydro power projects across 16 sites in Jharkhand. The projects will be implemented in public-private partnership mode under the build-own-operate-transfer model. The deadline for online bid submission is July 27, 2026.
According to the EoI guidelines, the scope of work includes conducting pre-feasibility studies and preparing detailed project reports (DPRs) for the awarded sites, including site surveys, land identification, data collection, assessments and technical evaluations based on validated on-site findings. Based on the pre-feasibility studies, technical and financial assessments, and DPRs, the selected developers will undertake the development of the hydro projects at the allocated sites.
According to the financial criteria, bidders are required to have a minimum average annual turnover of Rs 500 million from either hydro or other power project works during the preceding three financial years. Additionally, the bidders must also have a positive net worth as of FY 2024-25.
